The Thing’s Lament

While one could cite many worthy candidates, there is probably no living entity more malevolent than George Soros. At an age when most men are staring at squirrels, he continues to toil 666 minutes a day toward the eradication of Europe and her people. If there is any individual consciousness striving toward this end with greater influence and commitment he lives too far below the surface to discuss here. As such, witnessing a rare moment of anguish from Soros is to hear the song of angels.

This is the ambrosia that awaits readers here in a piece theologians will one day recognize as the immaculate dejection.

Open Society Needs Defending

That’s the bleat of a culprit looking for lawyers after being walked in on by ten men mid-murder.

Well before Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, I sent a holiday greeting to my friends that read: “These times are not business as usual. Wishing you the best in a troubled world.” Now I feel the need to share this message with the rest of the world. But before I do, I must tell you who I am and what I stand for.
I am an 86-year-old Hungarian Jew…

If you think what follows that ellipsis is the quadrillionth appeal to Western self-abnegation by citing a previous German chancellor then you have justifiably little faith in the imagination of evil.

The formative experience of my life was the occupation of Hungary by Hitler’s Germany in 1944. I probably would have perished had my father not understood the gravity of the situation.

And that would have been quite a loss indeed. So much so that both bitter civil strife and Hitler invocations would have suffered a deficit. But let’s get to the basis of its argument.

In 1947, I escaped from Hungary, by then under Communist rule, to England. As a student at the London School of Economics, I came under the influence of the philosopher Karl Popper, and I developed my own philosophy, built on the twin pillars of fallibility and reflexivity. I distinguished between two kinds of political regimes: those in which people elected their leaders, who were then supposed to look after the interests of the electorate, and others where the rulers sought to manipulate their subjects to serve the rulers’ interests. Under Popper’s influence, I called the first kind of society open, the second, closed…I became an active promoter of the former and opponent of the latter.

Apparently we’ve intercepted a private cable to either congressional Republicans or Hank Johnson. I’m not sure what other imbeciles The Thing thinks it’s lying to.

Though if you can find a mouth willing to swallow it, Soros is explaining that he is an impassioned advocate for polities that work for the interests of their own people, rather than be manipulated by antediluvian jews–as a for instance. Who knew that nationalists had such a friend?

But as no electorate in history has being swamped by hostile aliens in its self-interest, we understand his platitude paste to be just sanctimony bait for dim-witted libs. That’s easy enough to grasp. Yet for The Thing to go on to complain about manipulation of the public is such eye-rolling projection that one can only presume it is proof of the capacity to troll even into one’s ninth decade.

But you’ve endured enough Soros sibilance even before this piece was penned. So now savor the whine…

I find the current moment in history very painful.

More painful than having your chest cavity hollowed out and used as a whale condom one can only hope.

Open societies are in crisis, and various forms of closed societies – from fascist dictatorships to mafia states – are on the rise.

Actually open societies by his own definition are showing some indications of emerging from morbid narcolepsy.

How could this happen?

Here’s one reason.

Here are a few others.

Unsurprisingly, Soros offers a separate invoice of Western problems. These include…

“A lack of redistributive policies”

Germany’s “failure to live up to the obligations that successful hegemons must fulfill, namely looking beyond their narrow self-interest.” [And just that quickly the “open society” definition is discarded.]

The Brexit, Trump, and Italy votes.

And naturally, Vladimir Putin, whose nemesis rank among Bolshevik liches appears ready to reach that of Austrian corporal.

I hope that Europe’s leaders and citizens alike will realize that this endangers their way of life and the values on which the EU was founded.

Well it’s either Putin allegedly reading DNC Emails or having your ancient home fall under the scimitar. One of these is sure to endanger a man’s way of life. Which makes it equally certain to never pass the desiccated lips of a certain open society advocate.

  2. he continues to toil 666 minutes a day toward the eradication of Europe and her people.

Then we must toil 14 hours and 88 minutes a day to stop him.

  3. It is ironic to hear him constantly harp on how great democracy is, except when it doesn’t go how he wants. Then its not democracy in action, is raysis. How is that old fucker still alive, anyway? I know another will probably step up and take his place when he dies, but it will still be a good thing to see when he finally shuffles off. I figure he’s mostly kept alive with something like this:

    • Gator, you’re right there is no end to the number of leftists ready underwrite the fight against western civ. The number of families with multigenerational wealth is probably 1000x greater than it was even 100 years ago. A very high proportion of them are Jewish. Think of how far afield of their founders’ inclinations foundations like Ford and Pew and Kellogg have drifted. A similar tectonic drift of the Gates, Clinton or Buffet foundations will be miles left of Sean Penn. This year’s Wall Street bonuses alone will someday pay for so much “community organizing” it will take half of Guatemala and Honduras to staff.

      • Its not just the multi generational wealth, the multigenerational stupidity is a big problem too. We all know obama has an agenda that includes the demise of western civilization as we commonly understand it. Same with Soros. We know it, and they know that we know it. But without tens of millions of self-hating white leftists, this agenda would be dead in the water. I blame them for our current plight more than I blame Africans or muslims. Africans act like Africans. Them acting like Africans doesn’t bother me in the least, as long as they do it in Africa. It only affects me when they show up here, and collectively drag our country down to third world status. They wouldn’t be showing up in the numbers they do without the millions of my fellow Americans not only allowing but actively supporting their immigration. Soros and a couple dozen other elderly jewish contributors dying off wouldn’t stop this in the least. As long as there are western countries stupidly allowing this to happen, others will take their place.

      • The only good advice Karl Marx ever gave us was that every generation should kill off the top 2% of humanity to eliminate the predatory class.

  4. What motivates The Thing? (I wish I knew)
What stops The Thing? (Brilliant name, by the way)
    The Great Hope, of course.
Also mocking the philosophy, perhaps–as this article does

The Thing went a little too far–too obvious, importing Ebola and terrorists

It’s time to turn the sanctimony of the Left back on them–
“Why do you hate Trump so? It must be because you love war. You’re afraid Trump won’t start war with Russia. Why do you hate the environment so that you want to clash 3 World birth rates with developed world carbon consumption per capita? All you care about is pronouns and gender. What about the Polar Bears, hmm?”

  8. Prayer to St. Michael

    St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
    May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
    by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
